VERMILLION, S.D. – The Northern State University tennis team won its second match in as many days and its third in the last four matches after splitting Saturday’s matches with the Division I University of South Dakota and Morningside College.  The Wolves, who had won two straight heading into the day’s action, fell by a 9-0 count to USD, but rebounded to take a 7-2 decision over Morningside.

“This was our first time outside this year, and while we would prefer to have a couple practice days before we compete outside, I thought we adjusted well,” said NSU head coach Jessie Daw.  “A few of the players found it a bit more difficult to get into a rhythm, but after getting into the matches, we played well despite going up against tough competition.”
