ABERDEEN, S.D. - Northern State University head softball coach, Terri Holmes, is pleased to announce that Kelli Bornander will join the Wolves squad next season. Bornander is the 13th new addition to the NSU program, which is looking for a turnaround in the upcoming years.
"We feel that Kelli will be a great fit to the NSU softball team," said Holmes. "She will compete immediately for the opportunity to pitch as a freshman."
Bornander is a 5-9 pitcher from Lakewood, Wash. and a 2008 graduate of Lakes High School. She is a four-time softball letterwinner who was named First Team All-League Academic throughout her years of participation. She is a three-time First Team All-League pitcher and was named the pitching MVP of her league her senior season. She captained her squad for two seasons. Bornander also earned two letters as a member of the volleyball team, where she was also named First Team All-League Academic.
Northern State University is an NCAA Division II member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) and is located in Aberdeen, S.D.
