Jordan King
Men's Basketball
Jordan King (G, 6-0, 180, Jr., Arlington, S.D./Arlington HS) led an NSU comeback effort against the University of Mary with a career-high 16 points on Saturday despite playing just 17 minutes of the game.  King drained four of eight 3-point attempts, including several late treys to keep the Wolves in contention.  He was also a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line while dishing out five assists and coming up with one of the team’s three steals.


Emily Becken
Women's Basketball
Emily  Becken notched her first double-double of the season with a 17-point, 11-assist effort in the Wolves' 76-65 win over the University of Mary.  Becken was one of four Wolves in double figures in scoring and one of three players to notch a double-double, marking the first time that has happened this season.  NSU has now won four straight games.

Recruiting Class Reaches Nine
ABERDEEN, S.D. - The 2008 Northern State soccer recruiting class has grown to nine players with the addition of Haley Burns and Ashley Elliot, who have both signed NCAA National Letters of Intent with the Wolves. 
 
"Ashley and Haley round out our recruiting class for 2008 and we are very excited to have them join the team," said 2007 NSIC Coach of the Year, Steve Kehm. "The addition of these two student-athletes, coupled with the rest of our freshman class and our returners, has us really excited for another training camp."
 
Burns

Haley Burns is a 5-4 midfielder from Osoyoos, British Columbia. She is a four-year soccer letterwinner at Osoyoos High School, helping her team finish in second place at the Provincial Championships from 2005 to 2007. She was selected as one of the top 11 players at the BC Provincial Championships. Burns was a member of the Pacific Coast League U21 Championship team and was awarded MVP at the Merritt and Nakusp Invitationals.
 


Elliott

Ashley Elliott is a 5-9 midfielder hailing from Enumclaw, Wash. She is a three-year letterwinner at Enumclaw High School, serving as team captain her senior season and leading the squad to the playoffs. Playing for Club Dosveedanya, Elliott was a five-time State quarterfinalist and three-time State semifinalist.
