NSU Senior Wraps Up Career As NSIC Player of the Week
ABERDEEN
, S.D. - Senior Adam Kampsen (IF, Sr. Paynesville, Minn.) ended his four-year baseball career at Northern State with a bang and has been named NSIC Co-Player of the Week. Highlighting Kampsen's play on the week was a five homerun, 11 RBI day against Concordia-St. Paul on Sunday. This marks the third time this season Kampsen has been named NSIC Player of the Week.

Kampsen had multi-hit games in each of four games played against Concordia-St. Paul over the weekend. He started Sunday off with three straight two-run homeruns and finished the first game going 4-for-4 with a walk in the 15-4 NSU win. Kampsen was also responsible for driving in all five of NSU's runs in the second game, with the RBI's all coming from long balls (2-run homer, 3-run homer). On the day he went 6-for-8 at the plate with five homeruns.

Kampsen had an all around great week and led the Wolves to a 5-2 record as they wrapped up the 2008 season. He batted .542 on the week with 13 hits in 24 at-bats, six of which were homeruns, and tallied 15 RBI's. Kampsen also hit two doubles, drew five walks and only struck out one time as his slugging percentage was 1.375 for the week. Playing shortstop for the Wolves, Kampsen had seven putouts and 24 assists and did not commit an error.
