HASTINGS, Neb. - Outfielder Tom Keiser started his junior season out by going 4-of-7 from the plate with five RBIs as the Wolves took both decisions in a twinbill against Hastings College on Monday evening.  Northern out-hit the Broncos 14-3 in the wins with scores of 8-1 and 6-2.  NSU's pitchers tallied 21 strikeouts and allowed just six hits in the two games.  The Wolves take on Hastings College in another doubleheader tomorrow afternoon.

The Wolves notched four two-run innings in their first game of the 2008 campaign.  They jumped ahead of the Hastings College Broncos in the first inning and never looked back, seeing success on both offense and defense.  Sophomore James Paul went 3-of-3 from the plate in NSU's 8-1 game 1 win, knocking out three singles for three runs batted in.  Keiser went 2-of-3 at the plate with an RBI single and a two-RBI triple.  Sophomore Nathan Zacher was given the starting nod, striking out ten of 25 batters faced.

The Wolves took game two by a score of 6-2, putting together a five-run seventh inning to overcome the Broncos for the comeback win.  Keiser and Matt Tales each drove in two runs for NSU.  Brock Pashen and Tyler Bauman combined for nine strikeouts, with Bauman earning the win after three innings of work.
