Box Score

ABERDEEN, S.D. -
Sophomore Maggie Fedor (Monticello, Minn.) and freshman Kaylee McDonald (Ramsey, Minn.) each scored in the first 15 minutes of the game while Fedor had a pair of unassisted goals on the day as the Northern State University rolled to a 4-0 shutout of the visiting University of Minnesota, Crookston Golden Eagles Sunday afternoon in a soggy Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference women's soccer matchup.
The win, which gave the Wolves their first back-to-back wins of the season, lifts NSU to 8-6 overall and 4-3 in conference play while the Golden Eagles fell to 2-10-1 overall and 1-7-1 in the league.
Fedor scored her first goal of the day just three minutes into the game, dribbling past a UMC defender and blasting home a shot from 15 yards out.  The 5-foot-9 midfielder also scored on a similar play just minutes into the second period, this time taking a rebound off a Crookston defender and finding the net, giving her eight goals on the season.
McDonald, the freshman sensation up front for the Wolves, scored her team-leading tenth goal of the year in the 13th minute of the first half on a Kati Bronson (Spokane, Wash.) assist, while Aberdeen native KaSara Sutton closed out the scoring with her first goal of the year in the 56th minute of play.  Freshman Haley Burns (Osoyoos, B.C.) was credited with the assist on that goal.
Senior goalkeeper Kit Grace (Littleton, Colo.) picked up her second shutout of the season with the win, improving to 5-2 on the year with the win.
The Wolves, after four straight games at home, will be back on the road next weekend, traveling to Bemidji State on Saturday and to Minnesota-Duluth on Sunday.  Both games are slated for 1 p.m. starts.
