Emily Becken
Women's Basketball
Emily Becken notched her first double-double of the season with a 17-point, 11-assist effort in the Wolves' 76-65 win over the University of Mary. Becken was one of four Wolves in double figures in scoring and one of three players to notch a double-double, marking the first time that has happened this season. NSU has now won four straight games.

Jordan King
Men's Basketball
Jordan King (G, 6-0, 180, Jr., Arlington, S.D./Arlington HS) led an NSU comeback effort against the University of Mary with a career-high 16 points on Saturday despite playing just 17 minutes of the game. King drained four of eight 3-point attempts, including several late treys to keep the Wolves in contention. He was also a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line while dishing out five assists and coming up with one of the team’s three steals.

Northern State's Student Athlete Advisory Committee will be selling "Northern Nation" t-shirts to raise money for the local Make-A-Wish Foundation.

ABERDEEN, S.D. – The Northern State University Wrestling program and Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) are joining forces to promote the Bob Courtney Make-A-Wish Foundation Cancer Awareness Night, Thursday, February 4th during Northern State’s wrestling dual with Dickinson State.

ST. PAUL, Minn. - Northern State University sophomore Montrel Richardson was named as the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Track Athlete of the Week on Tuesday after registering a pair of event wins at the Black Hills State Dave Little Invitational last Saturday.

ABERDEEN, S.D. - Northern State University sophomore Austin Suther and junior Cody Hageman closed out the NSU Multis on Monday with third and fourth place finishes, respectively. Suther, who contested just four of the seven disciplines over the two-day event, finished with 2,358 points, while Hageman, who contested six of the seven, was fourth with 2,335 points.

ABERDEEN, S.D. - Northern State University sophomore Tanya Vassar finished second while true freshman Hilary Gorder was third in her first career attempt at the women's pentathlon as part of the NSU Multis on Sunday afternoon. Sophomore Austin Suther and junior Cody Hageman also sit in third and fourth place, respectively, after Day 1 of the men's heptathlon, which will be completed with the final three events on Monday.

MOORHEAD, Minn./SPEARFISH, S.D. - The Northern State University track and field teams sent a split squad to two different meets on Saturday and returned home with nine individual event wins and a relay title. NSU claimed four of those titles - all on the men's side - at the Black Hills State Dave Little Invitational in Spearfish, S.D., while the remainder came at the Concordia-Moorhead Cobber Open in Moorhead, Minn.

ABERDEEN, S.D. – Northern State University senior Amanda Madden won the women’s weight throw while surpassing the NCAA automatic qualifying standard for the second time in as many tries on Thursday, providing the evening’s biggest highlight as part of the NSU-Jamestown College dual. Despite that win – one of five total NSU victories in the women’s field events – the Jamestown women rallied to post 77.5 points and edge their Wolves counterparts by just seven points.

ABERDEEN, S.D. – Three Northern State University track and field athletes exceeded either the NCAA automatic or provisional qualifying standards with their performances at Thursday’s intra-squad meet. All three efforts, which will not be accepted by the NCAA as qualifying marks due to the intra-squad nature of the event, came in the field events.
