Jordan King

Men's Basketball

Jordan King (G, 6-0, 180, Jr., Arlington, S.D./Arlington HS) led an NSU comeback effort against the University of Mary with a career-high 16 points on Saturday despite playing just 17 minutes of the game. King drained four of eight 3-point attempts, including several late treys to keep the Wolves in contention. He was also a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line while dishing out five assists and coming up with one of the team’s three steals.

Emily Becken

Women's Basketball

Emily Becken notched her first double-double of the season with a 17-point, 11-assist effort in the Wolves' 76-65 win over the University of Mary. Becken was one of four Wolves in double figures in scoring and one of three players to notch a double-double, marking the first time that has happened this season. NSU has now won four straight games.

NSU senior Mitch Boeck was 16-for-18 from the free throw line in a pair of weekend wins for the Wolves.

ST. PAUL, Minn. – Northern State University senior Mitch Boeck has been named as the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Player of the Week for his performances on the court over the weekend. Boeck racked up 62 total points for the Wolves while leading the team to two straight road wins over Winona State on Friday and Upper Iowa on Saturday.


	Boeck's 37 leads Wolves to 72-64 win over UIU 02.06 \| Men's Basketball FAYETTE, Iowa - One day after leading the Wolves to their first road win over Winona State in nearly five years, Northern State University senior Mitch Boeck carried the Wolves to yet another huge road win on Saturday, scoring a career-high 37 points in NSU's 72-64 win over Upper Iowa University in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference men's basketball action.


	Boeck leads Wolves to big 69-66 win at Winona State 02.05 \| Men's Basketball ABERDEEN, S.D. - No current Northern State University player had ever won in Winona State University's McCown Gymnasium. That all changed tonight. NSU senior Mitch Boeck scored 25 points, including a pair of game-clenching free throws with 5.8 seconds left in the game, to lead the Wolves to a monster 69-66 win over the host Warriors Friday night in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference men's basketball action.


	Boeck tabbed to CoSIDA Academic All-District squad 02.04 \| Men's Basketball ABERDEEN, S.D. - Northern State University senior men's basketball player Mitch Boeck has been named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District VII Second Team. All-District selections were announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) on Thursday. The honor is the first of his career.


	Wolves to Hold Cancer Awareness Night 02.02 \| Men's Basketball ABERDEEN, S.D. - The Northern State University Wrestling program and Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) are joining forces to promote the Bob Courtney Make-A-Wish Foundation Cancer Awareness Night, Thursday, February 4th during Northern State's wrestling dual with Dickinson State.

Balanced attack gives Wolves 76-65 win

ABERDEEN, S.D. – Northern State University senior Mitch Boeck scored 18 points, while redshirt freshman Collin Pryor was 6-for-6 from the free throw line as the Wolves pushed past the University of Minnesota, Crookston Saturday night in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference men’s basketball action by a final tally of 76-65.

ABERDEEN, S.D. – Northern State University junior Derek Hoellein drained his second 3-pointer of the night with just over a minute left to play in the game, knocking down a trey despite having the St. Cloud State University defense waving its hands in his face to force the tenth tie of the night and set up a dramatic finish to Saturday night’s Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference men’s basketball game.

ABERDEEN, S.D. – Northern State University athletic officials have designated Saturday, January 23 as a Maroon-out Night. Fans are encouraged to wear maroon clothing to the NSU men’s and women’s basketball games that evening as the Wolves take on St. Cloud State University in a pair of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference contests.
